Ready for Mallory

m_bed

Mallory’s crib is all set up now and waiting patiently for her. Her bedding matches Kimani’s... she has fawns and Kimani has the bunnies. The colors are the same. Since they are sharing a bedroom this works out well. The crib converts to a toddler bed but as it turns out, Mallory still sleeps in a crib. (By the way, both Mallory and Kimani can see real dear and bunnies right out that full-sized glass door in their bedroom!)

I am told that Mallory wears size 18-24 month clothing, so though she looks chunky in her pictures she is really no bigger than our two year old Kimani. She smiles a lot, understands and follows directions, imitates well, and is “self-directed”... for those of you not familiar with EI language, that means head strong and stubborn :-) She will fit right in with our family.

Here are some new pics of her...

With Grandma

I see that, like most three year olds, she likes the phone.

I am sad to take her away from those who love her, even though I know that she will be taken away to an institution on her birthday if we don’t.

It's so wonderful to know at least she was loved for the past three years and had someone visiting her. It will be hard to take her away but in that pain is such joyfulness that she will get the life she deserves and that will make her grandparents happy deep down inside. LOVE your bedding choices!!!!

Oh, wow, she is precious!! I love the pics with her grandparents. It looks like they love her, which does mean that it will be hard on you to take her from them, but at the same time they will be so grateful that she'll finally have the opportunity to live a full and happy life. I am so glad she has known love already...and for all she has ahead of her. What a lucky little girl!

So thankful that she had family to comfort her while she lived in the orphanage. I'm sure that her grandparents are thankful that she will be thriving in her new home soon. No one would want their precious granddaughter to languish away in a mental institution! She really is adorable!

Love the bedding, so pretty.
I am thankful that she has loving family members that still come and spend time with her. She will melt right into your family and those grandparents will love getting your updates.

Oh, she is so cute! My daughter and I looked at Mallory for days. I'm so happy for you. And it's great to know that she has known love in her short life. What a blessing.

It will be so hard for her grandparents to say goodbye to her, but easy just the same knowing that people that will love her with no bounds will be taking her home. I'm praying all the paperwork goes smoothly.

I love hearing from you. It is encouraging, and makes me want to post more often ;-)
